Arts in the Park embarked on their 23rd year of free music hosted by Music Yukon at LePage park in downtown Whitehorse May 21st.
The Yukon Canadian Bar Association (CBA) Law Day Committee is pleased to announce this year’s 29th Annual Canadian Bar Association Law Day Charity Fun Run and Walk (“Fun Run”). Law Day is held annually across the country by the CBA. The theme for Yukon’s Law Day is celebrating Language Rights.
“We used to play a lot of hockey back then, because that was all the sport we had during the long winter months,” says William Carlick describing his early days in sport at the Lower Post Residential School in northern British Columbia. Now he is the Elder Rep for Team North in the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC), and he could not be happier that Whitehorse hosted the 2019 event.

The Millennial Town Hall (MTH) was established by the Youth of Today Society; Kwanlin Dun First Nation and Ta’an Kwach’an Council, in 2018. The mission was and is to promote peer-to-peer discussions on issues that impact youth, on a daily basis, and to encourage an honest and meaningful conversation with Yukon politicians and decision makers. The Town Hall is an all inclusive event open to ALL Yukon millennials between the ages of 15-30.
