Eric Pateman is one of the world’s top culinary tourism experts and has travelled to all 7 continents, over 120 countries and has eaten in thousands of restaurants. He still believes that some of the best produce he has ever eaten was produced in the Yukon. “By far the best tomato that I would put hands down, better than anything I’ve had in Spain or Italy” says Pateman referring to a tomato grown in Dawson City.
The Yukon River Quest is on! The 21st annual river race began June 26th at Rotary Park with a record 124 teams and 290 paddlers!
Their names are Vanessa Oliviero and Kale Michon. The pair of youths hail from Dawson City, Yukon.Together, they are working with the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Youth Centre in putting together a photography project that is quite ambitious in its scope: Visit every single community within the Territory, conduct interviews with local youth and take as many establishing photographs of the area as they can.
